“Nothing Happens Until Something Moves”

August 31, 2008 on 4:36 am | In Goals | No Comments

“Nothing happens until something moves.” – Albert Einstein.

How true! You can set the most magnificent goal, you can have the most amazing dream, but if you don’t act on it nothing is going to happen. Thinking and acting are two lines of the same highway. You can not achieve your dream without the right thinking, but the right thinking is not enough to get you to your dream. You have to act on it!

Imagine you are a fisherman or fisherwoman. You decided you are going to have the most successful day in your life and you are going to catch many fish. You are all excited as you know how to think in the right way. You go to your living room, set on your couch and you think positively. You think that you are catching  so many fish, so many…  At the end of the day you look around and you ask yourself, “Where are the fish?” No, fish. You see, you can not get it by thinking only. In order for you to get catch the fish, you have to go and get your boat and go to the sea, and you have to do all the necessary things in order to catch them. It is not going to happen by itself.

There are two basic ingredients of success; right thought and action, and you have to apply both in order to succeed. So, remember, thinking in a right way is great, but “Nothing happens until something moves.”

A great tool that will help you with changing your thinking and staying on course, is Thought Mail, free personalized motivational messages that come Monday through Friday.

Staying Focused on Your Goals

August 23, 2008 on 5:38 am | In Goals | No Comments

How often we set goals and we get very excited about them. We can see ourselves having or living the fantastic dream and then we face an obstacle. What happens then, in most of the time, is that we concentrate on the obstacle. We analyze it, look at it from different angles and soon instead of concentrating on our objective, that is our dream, we get engulfed by the obstacle. By doing that we made the obstacle grow to a size of a mountain, and we lose sight of our goal. It is like driving a car, paying attention to the road which leads us to the destination – our goal, and suddenly having a big bug splashing on our windshield, just in front of our eyes. We try to concentrate on the road and there it is, that big spot, just in the middle of our view.  It is just a bug, and we can still see where we are going, yet for many people that bug takes over and soon it feels to them like the whole windshield is covered with it.

My advice to you is: concentrate on the road to your goal and forget the bug. Don’t let the bug, bug your life. After all it is only a bug. Don’t let the dead bug control YOUR life!

A great tool that will help you with changing your thinking and staying on course, is Thought Mail, free personalized motivational messages that come Monday through Friday.

You Set Your Goal. Now What?

July 20, 2008 on 10:06 pm | In Goals | 2 Comments

On a very special day, you set down and you wrote your goals. You wrote on a piece of paper or on your computer what it is that you really want. You wrote about you dreams. You probably looked at them and wondered, and now what? What am I going to do to achieve them?

You don’t have to know how to achieve it. You have to believe that you are going to achieve this goal. Believing in achieving your goal is not enough. The right thinking and the best positive thinking you can imagine is not enough to achieve your goal. You have to act on the idea. You have to make a plan of action.

How do you start?

You start by taking another piece of paper or just sit at your computer and start writing. You need to write what is the best you can do, with what you have, from where you are. Write everything that comes to your mind. Keep writing until you run out of ideas. Then stop. Look at what you wrote and answer a question for yourself. “Is this the best I can do?” Then write some more ideas. Then ask the same question again. When nothing comes to your mind, start acting on your ideas. Never stop! Ad new ideas and keep the ball rolling until it hits the goal.

Celebration of Life!

June 28, 2008 on 9:58 pm | In Goals | 1 Comment

I had a fantastic comment to one of my blogs.  Thank you!
“Words of wisdom, why dream at all if you don’t dream big, why settle for less when you know that you always, can make more of yourself. You could not have put it better, life is too short to dream small, and they say death takes you to a better place however why would it???”

One preacher said that at a funeral the saddest thing is not a death of the body, but a death of the dreams. It is the passion you have not followed; it is the car or house you have not bought; it is the vacations you have not taken. How true! We go through life compromising, wishing for better things, waiting for the opportunity that might never come or even when it finally comes we are too scared to jump into it, just in case… we might fail. We prefer to be safe and keep wishing.  You know the saying, “Better safe than sorry.” If you are always safe and you don’t take any intelligent risk, we are going to be  sorry.  I wanted to emphasize, the “Intelligent risk”, not just any risk. You see, you can not achieve anything worth while without an intelligent risk. What we do with our lives is; we tiptoe through it hoping we will get safely to death. Is it an intelligent game? You answer it for yourself.

Instead of wishing all your life, dream big like the person in the comments said. Don’t wait for death to take you to a better place, if there is one. Make this life a better place for yourself and for your loved ones. Look for opportunities! Or if you can’t find them, create them! You are the creator of your life. When you have the opportunity, dive into it! Enjoy the thrill and explore the deep waters, swim with the current and come to the surface as a winner! I can not agree more with the comment. Life is too short to dream small, too short to let it pass you by so you can regret all the things you have not done when you were younger. Do them now, and live your life to the fullest! You deserve it!

Remember though, dreaming is not enough, you have to work at it!

Dare to Dream

June 8, 2008 on 5:18 am | In Goals | 1 Comment

Many people go through life never dreaming. They might have wishes, but that is all they are, wishes. 87% of people have no goals. You can not blame them for that, as we were never taught how to set goals and go for our dreams. Why many people don’t dream? Sometimes the “reality” is too gloomy and it is, so hard to break away. It is like everything around tells those people that it is impossible, that it is good for someone else, but not for them. I have news for you. If it is good for someone else it is good for you! You and the other person, you might compare yourself to, have exactly the same potential. The difference between you and the other person is that he/she dares to dream. It takes courage to dream. It takes even more courage to go for that dream, to make it happen. But if you never dream and never see your life in a different way, you will never change it. First you have to see beyond what you have. You have to see the possibilities of a different life. Then you have to formulate a plan to go for your new life that you imagined. You need to do the best you can, with what you have, from where you are. No matter where you are you can always make it better. All you have to do is dare to dream. No matter what your friends, you family will tell you, how impossible it might seem, just dare to dream and go for it!

I did! And I won my new life! ( Read my last 3 blogs to learn how I changed my life)

Ideas

March 2, 2008 on 6:40 am | In Goals | 3 Comments

Very often we come with great ideas.  But great ideas alone are worthless if we don’t do anything about them. Let’s see this example.
A person says, “I have a great idea!” The group of people he talks to gets very excited. Here is an idea and it is not just a good idea, it is a great idea! What is the idea they ask him. “Man goes to the moon.”  It is a great idea everyone says. But how do we go about it? The person answers, “I don’t know, I just came up with the idea. You do it.” And do you know what happens? Nothing.
When you have an idea and you think that it is a great idea, act on it. The idea is only good when you have an action attached to it. Without an action your great idea is absolutely worthless. So, when you have an idea, go for it. Make it happen! Even if you don’t know how you are going to achieve it and complete it, start it and the way will be shown to you.

My husband and I have a great idea, I would appreciate it if you give your comment on it. We are thinking about doing my life coaching seminars in a picturesque, beach front, tropical resort. Five full days of priceless life coaching, magnificent surroundings, plenty of relaxation on the beach, great food and fun just for you or you and your significant other .  Learn to be successful in life and have fun at the same time.

Take a moment, think about it and email amanda@totallyuniqueideas.com with comments about that idea.

Power of a Mind Set

February 9, 2008 on 7:12 am | In Goals | 17 Comments

What is the difference between people who are just making a living, just enough to their pay bills, pay off their debt, have a little spare money for entertainment and people who excel and make their dreams come true?
It is the mind set. The first group of people set their goals just to go through life. They often say, “If I only pay off the mortgage… If I only put the children through school…. If I only pay off the credit cards… If I only have enough money to take a vacation… If I only make it to retirement… If I only… then I will be happy. And before they notice their lives are over and they got through it…safely… They got through their live safely to death. They just achieved what they wanted, because that is exactly what they set their mind to do.
The other group of people are dreamers. They are the risk takes. They set goals high and their mind set is to achieve their dreams. They don’t worry if they are going to pay off the house. They don’t worry if they are going to have enough money to put their children through school or take a vacation. They know in the depth of their hearts that when they achieve their dream all the other things are going to fall into place. They live their passion, they are ALIVE! Every day of their lives is a wonderful adventure. They look at any setback as a lesson, not a failure. They have a vision and they keep going, and through their persistence they arrive at the destination of their dreams.
The first group of people often will say, “But you have to be realistic and practical.” The people from the second group are never realistic or practical. They are dreamers who pursue their dreams. They know that you achieve what you set your mind to do, so they aim high, they have courage to follow through and they live their dreams.

Passion

December 15, 2007 on 11:45 pm | In Purpose in Life, Goals | 1 Comment

So many people go through life never doing what they would really love to do.
One pastor said, “At a funeral the saddest thing is not the death of the body, but the death of the dreams.” It is the car you haven’t bought, the house you never purchased, the vacations you never took. This is the thing you always wanted to do and you have never done it. You just settle for something less. For the job that just paid your bills letting the true dream, the true passion pass you by. Don’t let his ever happen to you!

Do you know how you feel when you find your passion and you follow it? You feel ALIVE! You can’t wait till Monday, you eat, sleep, think and dream your passion. The feeling is so intense, so overwhelming and so fantastic that your life becomes a dream…a dream that you live every single day of your life.
How do I know that? I know it first hand, because I live it. What I do is my passion. I can not wait till the next session, till the next seminar, for the next Thought Mail (motivational message) I send to brighten your day. I eat, sleep, breathe and think my passion. How I feel every day and what I experience in my life is simply MAGICAL.

You too can find your passion, pursue it and live a life you never thought was possible.
