Celebration of Life!

I had a fantastic comment to one of my blogs.  Thank you!
“Words of wisdom, why dream at all if you don’t dream big, why settle for less when you know that you always, can make more of yourself. You could not have put it better, life is too short to dream small, and they say death takes you to a better place however why would it???”

One preacher said that at a funeral the saddest thing is not a death of the body, but a death of the dreams. It is the passion you have not followed; it is the car or house you have not bought; it is the vacations you have not taken. How true! We go through life compromising, wishing for better things, waiting for the opportunity that might never come or even when it finally comes we are too scared to jump into it, just in case… we might fail. We prefer to be safe and keep wishing.  You know the saying, “Better safe than sorry.” If you are always safe and you don’t take any intelligent risk, we are going to be  sorry.  I wanted to emphasize, the “Intelligent risk”, not just any risk. You see, you can not achieve anything worth while without an intelligent risk. What we do with our lives is; we tiptoe through it hoping we will get safely to death. Is it an intelligent game? You answer it for yourself.

Instead of wishing all your life, dream big like the person in the comments said. Don’t wait for death to take you to a better place, if there is one. Make this life a better place for yourself and for your loved ones. Look for opportunities! Or if you can’t find them, create them! You are the creator of your life. When you have the opportunity, dive into it! Enjoy the thrill and explore the deep waters, swim with the current and come to the surface as a winner! I can not agree more with the comment. Life is too short to dream small, too short to let it pass you by so you can regret all the things you have not done when you were younger. Do them now, and live your life to the fullest! You deserve it!

Remember though, dreaming is not enough, you have to work at it!

  1. I have often regretted those times when I have played it safe. Can you get the thrill of parachuting if you don’t jump out of a plane? Of course not! Thank you for reinforcing that!
