Is Thinking Positive Thoughts Enough to Change our Lives? Continuation…

January 27, 2008 on 11:29 pm | In Our Thinking | 1 Comment

Very important part of our success, something that as important as positive thinking are our actions. We might have a wonderful goal. We might engage all the “right thinking”, but if we don’t make a plan of action towards our dream and we don’t act on it nothing is going to happen. And I am not talking just about any actions. How badly do you want to achieve your goal, your dream? Badly enough? Then I advice you to do the best you can, with what you have, from where you are. See what it is that you can do and act on it! Life is too precious to waste, to wake up one day just to discover that there are things in your life that you wished you have done. Don’t wish. Act on it! Make a plan and go for it!
Remember, you can do, be or have anything you seriously want.

Sometimes things happen to us that seem like a dead end or even feel like the end of the world, only for us to discover later that the thing that happened was just the best thing we could ask for. As that event opened for us a new door…new possibility.

Is Thinking Positive Thoughts Enough to Change our Lives? Continuation…

January 20, 2008 on 9:29 pm | In Our Thinking | 1 Comment

Through our lives we get conditioned to think in a certain way and behave in a certain way. One of the very important things that keep us where we are now and stifle the development of our unlimited potential towards achieving our dreams is our past. Here, I want to stress that is not our past as such, not the things that happened to us, but us holding onto the things that happened in the past. We are conditioned to look at our past and base our future on that. This is the biggest mistake anyone can make. Thinking along those lines will insure that you are going to have the same future as your past. We might have divorces, bankruptcies or many failures. We might have terrible things happen to us in the past. You have to let all of these go! It is in the past. It is history. Don’t dwell on your past. Don’t recall the bad times. Past is the past and it belongs there…in the past. Today is a new moment. It is up to you to use every new moment wisely. What happened to you has nothing to do with that moment and what your future is going to be. You can create your future anyway you want. You are very special. You have unlimited potential and you can be, do or have anything you seriously want.

Sometimes you might wonder if your magnificent dream is too big, something like a “pie in the sky”.

P.S.
Don’t look at the “pie in the sky” as something you can not get. Concentrate on something much more important. Ask yourself a very important question: What kind of pie do I want? An apple pie, a chocolate cream pie, a lemon pie, a pecan pie, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie or….
Make a wise decision, because after all you will be the one eating it when you get it from the sky.

Is Thinking Positive Thoughts Enough to Change our Lives?

January 13, 2008 on 2:09 am | In Our Thinking | No Comments

The reason I picked this subject for my blog today is John Smith’s comment on Today’s World Blog. Thank you for your comment, John.
“Nice, but I think it is sometimes not enough to get it complete.” John Smith.
John, you are so right. Being positive is a huge step in the right direction, but it is not enough. There is something I would like to make everyone aware of. Being positive does not necessarily mean that we are really positive. We might be saying great things, we might make people believe that we think positive things, yet in the depth of our heart where no one is aware what is going on, only us, we still have negative thoughts. I was always considered to be a very positive person not only by me, but by many other people, until I started to research the power of our mind and with a kind of shock I discovered how terribly negative I was. I was talking positive, I was always smiling, always happy, but inside I was filled with negativity. I would say that the proverbial glass was always full, but inside I was worrying what will happen if the water in that glass dries out or get spilled? How many times we make plans yet we worry that they might not come through or come not as we planned? I can not even count how many times I have done that before. Was I positive or negative then? I had positive ideas, yet I was worried that negative things could happen to me. Well, definitely I was negative. If I was positive I would not worry. I would know in my heart that everything was going to be OK.
To be continued…..
Write me your thoughts.

No matter how much you praise yourself. How many times you say “I am GREAT!” No matter how many wonderful words you use to express how wonderful you are, it will never be enough!
There are no words and praises that can be sufficient to describe the MAGNIFICENT YOU.
This is how PERFECT and SPECIAL and WONDEFUL, and POWERFUL…and… you are.

Intuition

January 6, 2008 on 5:28 am | In Sixth Sense | 1 Comment

One of the mental faculties that I teach people about is Intuition. It is such an important and fascinating faculty and yet we know so little about it.
Let’s look at some definitions of intuition from the dictionary.
Intuition  - an ability to sense or know immediately without reasoning.
Intuition in Psychology – understanding without apparent effort, quick and ready insight seemingly independent of previous experiences or empirical knowledge.
Intuition is an apparent ability to acquire knowledge without a clear inference or reasoning process.
It is “the immediate apprehension of an object by the mind without the intervention of any reasoning process” [Oxford English Dictionary].

So, as you can see, intuition is an apparent phenomenon, something we commonly call “the gut feeling” or “the sixth sense”. It has been the subject of study in psychology as well as a topic of interest in the supernatural. Everyone of us experienced it. Some of us experience it on regular basis. But what intuition really is? All the above definitions agree that is an ability to acquire knowledge, knowing something without the reasoning process. It is as someone or something gives us that knowledge in an instance which shows as “the gut feeling” and when we act on it we find that the “message” that was send to us through that “sixth sense” that was perfectly correct. Through my extensive research on a subject of our mind I know without a doubt that we can not be successful in anything without that amazing intuition. It is more important than we can ever imagine. In my personal life, my intuition always proved right and any time if I did not follow that gut feeling it proved to be a disaster. Now, I understand why. And I understand why every time we have that gut feeling inside us, to do something, we have to follow it. It will always prove right. It will always be there to guide us, show us the next step towards our goal, our dream.
What are your thoughts about intuition?
Give an example from your life.
