Why Are We Thinking Negative Thoughts? Continuation…
November 25, 2007 on 8:36 pm | In Discussion, Our Thinking | 2 CommentsReply to the comment: It is great to hear from people who want to move ahead, want to achieve something in life and want to help others. It is a great purpose to have. Good for you Sandy! Discussion: Sometimes we want all the great things in our lives and still we catch ourselves having negative thoughts of fear that it might not happen, that we are aiming too high, having doubts in our abilities. Why does that happens? We have been programmed that way. Through our lives we have been surrounded by negative people and they are the ones that programmed our thinking, our behavior. It does not mean that those people like your parents and family did not love you. They did, very much. But they were programmed the same way. They wanted the best for you, but they could not give you what they did not have. You and your loved ones and the other people that were and are a part of your life were taught to look at their present situation, look at their past situation and make decisions about their future based on that. For most people that brings lots of negative thoughts, emotions and doubts about themselves.
I always thought I was a positive person. I was wishing positive and yet I was filled with the negative thoughts I described above. My friend and I could talk for hours. But when I start to study the human mind and I stopped complaining, stopped criticizing and stopped gossiping I had nothing to talk about with my friend. Was I a positive person then? If someone asked me that question at that time in my life, I would say yes. But was I? I don’t think so.
Why news reports mainly negative information?

Why Are We Thinking Negative Thoughts?
November 19, 2007 on 3:52 am | In Our Thinking | 7 CommentsWe have heard so many times in our lives that we should be positive. We also know too well that when we think negative thoughts they don’t make us feel good. Why are we thinking negative thoughts? Why are 97% of people around us negative? Why is news saturated with negative information?
Why do you think it is that way? What are your thoughts about it? Write me your comments, your ideas.
I am looking forward to your thoughts. Amanda Devine

Today’s World
November 4, 2007 on 8:00 pm | In Attitude | 9 CommentsHave you ever wondered how the information that surrounds us affects our lives and our future?
Every time we turn TV on there is news about the bad economy. The stock market is bad, the housing marker is bad, mortgage companies are in crisis, jobs are lost. Recession is on its way.
I saw a great sticker on a bumper of a car. “Recession is coming, but I am not going to participate.” Are you going to participate?
We are equipped with the most amazing, sophisticated gift - our mind. That great gift was bestowed on us, so we can think. We are can decide what kind of information is going to be accepted by us or rejected. We can see the proverbial glass half full or half empty. Which glass is yours?
But you might say, Amanda how can I see my glass half full when I hear about all the bad things happening?
My response is: Will these bad news, bring you closer to your goal, to your dream?
No? So, why are you listening to them? Why do you waste your precious time on something that all it can do is to destroy your dream?
We all believe, and I was one of them, that during the great depression all people lost money. Do you know that some people made lots of money during the depression?
You have your mind and you have the power to choose your glass. You can choose the half full one and you can achieve anything you want in spite of the bad economy.
I help people to achieve in life anything they want. They tell me what they desire and I show them how to get it. My economy and my world is perfect. Yours will be too if you focus on your goals, instead of on the obstacles.
You have the unlimited power to change your life regardless of the economy and your present situation. All you to do is to use that power you already possess. How? Let me show you.
